CREMATION CASKET OFFERINGS

What is a “cremation casket”? Anytime cremation is requested a combustible alternative container is required. In cases where a family’s wish is for cremation, while still asking for a traditional funeral with viewing and a Chapel or Church service, a casket specially designed to be combustible and cremated is a necessity. Following a funeral the cremation casket in-turn becomes that required combustible cremation container.

We offer a number of cremation option choices including a traditional funeral with viewing, visitations and a Chapel or Church service. This is a personal decision, and we will guide you with the various funeral cremation service options available.

The cremation caskets listed represent a cross section of those regularly selected by the families we serve. If you have specific needs please let us know and we will assist you in finding the appropriate available casket in type of material, design and cost.

Burial Caskets, including Cremation Caskets, range in price from $45,850 to $1,295.00 for adults.  Caskets for infants and children are available by special order and range in price (dependent on size) from $2,795 to $250.00.  Alternative Containers available for direct cremations range in price from $1,025.00 to $80.00.  Some caskets on our price list may not be on hand in our display room but we do have photographs available, or we can show you similar caskets in category and price.

The Chapel of the Highlands makes no representations or warranties about the protective value of certain caskets or outer burial containers other than those made by the manufacturer. The only warranties, expressed or implied, granted in connection with goods sold with this funeral service are the written warranties, if any, extended by the manufactures thereof. No other warranties and, specifically, no warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are extended by the seller.

  • Suitable for family viewing / service only at Chapel prior to cremation

FIBERBOARD ALTERNATIVE CONTAINERS

  • Constructed of wood composite (MDF) or cardboard
  • Minimum containers meet Federal Trade Commission requirements
  • Constructed of combustible materials generally without interior or handles
  • Suitable for immediate direct cremation with no viewing or services

ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE CASKETS

  • Green certified by “The Green Burial Council”
  • Sourced from a local company specializing in ecologically friendly materials
  • Leaving minimal environmental footprints
  • Available in materials such as banana leaf or bamboo
  • Constructed in a basket weave design with a hemp type interior shroud
  • Suitable for a closed casket service followed by burial at a green cemetery (or cremation)
